But What About Tory Islamophobia?

Someone who might usually support the Labour party, and traditionally considers themselves 'left wing' (as I have done), are often of the conviction, for ideological reasons I'll not expand upon here, that 'their side' is the side of moral worth and all opposition is therefore morally less worthy. Thus when confronted with the evidence of anti-Semitism in the Labour party, the very common instinctive reaction is to point to 'Islamophobia' in the Tory party. Afterall, (the reasoning goes) this sounds like an equivalent kind of prejudice that must be as rampant as anti-Semitism in the Labour party, if it is not even worse. Although there may be apparent issues with prejudices in all the large political organizations, including the Conservative party, this 'whataboutary' comparison of Labour anti-Semitism and Tory 'Islamophobia' is a false equivalence fallacy. I've looked into some of the details and tried to briefly outline them here.

The words singled out for condemnation are 'surrender' and 'humbug', yet the Liberal Democrats are blocking a democratic General Election and seek to overturn the democratic referendum that they voted to enact via Article 50, and this is all done under their carefully chosen slogan 'B*llocks to Brexit'; an equivalent message to - and barely less intemperate language than - 'B*llocks to the individual sovereignty of the leave voter, b*llocks to your vote, B*llocks to you'.

As much as its adherents would want and perhaps imagine it to be so, a utopian ideal of an end to all of life's sufferings, stresses and strains can never be the outcome of applied intersectionality. The goal of its radical followers seems to be to dismantle the functioning institutions, but the ideology is completely absent on ideas with what to replace them (an opportunity, should such a catastrophe occur,  a would-be tyrant of any ideology would relish). Whatever social and political direction liberal democratic civilisations take in consequence of this intersectionalist barminess, it is starting to look very much as though it will be played out in the coming months or years. It is my opinion that we are at a zenith of intersectionailist influence from the BS narrative in the mainstream and, if the ideology is to be rejected and liberal meritocracy and blind justice are to regain traction in the mainstream, then perhaps for many, this story will be one of a few pivotal stories in the coming months that are 'penny drop', counter narrative moments:

The video predominantly makes several false equivalence fallacies: Religious ideologies are equivilent,  Criticism is equivilent to prejudice, lsIamophobia is equivalent to Antisemitism, lsIamophobia is equivilent to racism, therefore criticism is racism and equivalent to Antisemitism.

Several errors there...

Your article on the BBC homepage: "Teens taunting Native American sparks outcry" is objectively incorrect, especially that headline. It is clear that BBC journalists did not properly research the available material. Instead a subjective and uninformed opinion dictated an assumption of what occured. The video you have linked to in your article is edited in a manner as to be deceptive, but regardless shows no evidence of any harrasment or taunting towards the man.
